Few more old wonders...
May. 24th, 2007 12:31 pmNot a Chalet School to be seen so far, but....
[ETA - yikes, old book dust clearly in the brain now, as I meant to ask if anyone would like any of the below!]
Jerry: The Story of an Exmoor Pony, by Eleanor Helme & Nance Paul (7th impression, 1942)
Vicki Finds the Answer by Helen Wells (part of the Vicki Barr Flight Stewardess Series)
The Bobbsey Twins Treasure Hunting. Reprint from 1963, but nicish hardcover, if anyone collects.
There's an old Henty which is irritatingly between values (not a few quid so buyable by me just for the interest, but not hundreds so I can definitely flog it) which I'll try to push on the dealer tonight, and an 1890 copy of Shirley, in good shape and inside says by Currer Bell, to my delight. The dealer said that wasn't old, which makes me wonder what he considers old, so we're trying to sell that elsewhere!
Just updating...
