Books we have known and loved (reappear)
Jan. 20th, 2008 09:49 amFirst, good news (via Blog from the Windowsill, via² Jen Robinson) - Elizabeth Enright's Melendy family books are being republished. In two days' time, apparently. Little odd that there's no image available still, but ... Some of our most-loved books. I could start throwing out favourite scenes and be here for ages - hope I'd be joined by everyone else.
Next up - I'm sure I'm not the only parent to have read Jill Murphy's Five Minutes' Peace many times - for those who'd like to see a slightly different version of this story - with photographs, a crazy cat, and the Yarn Harlot's wonderful sense of humour - try this. (You'll still get a laugh if you've never heard of the book. Or the Yarn Harlot.)
Finally, not a book-related item, AFAIK, though I bet someone could tell of a relevant picture-book: this knitting pattern. Cute in a goofy way, but do many people really have the time to knit toilet rolls?
