The Books of 2005
Jan. 5th, 2006 07:09 pmOr at least a babbling and rambly version thereof - behind a cut (if I can figure out how to do it on Xjournal, which I'm not sure I can), as it's only v. lightly edited from my DWJ post. I'd do it properly, but no time before I go (another €0.01 flight, at an extremely antisocial hour tomorrow), and it's already later than I should do the Year's Book List.
( More than anyone wants to read about my reading )
The Christmas present books are being read in bits and pieces, and will be journalled (Piffle - isn't 'journal' properly considered a verb yet?) later. Have also finished Hilary McKay's Saffy's Angel and almost finished Indigo Star. I read and loved the Exiles and had been meaning to read these for ages - ever since giving them to older daughter, who's a huge fan. I'd be reading Permanent Rose tomorrow except that I'm going away and can't bring it with me. Hoped to find it in pb. but guess it's still only in hardcover. Really love them!
