Haven't had time to write here - though I'm not sure that I've managed to accomplish anything to justify said lack of time for writing here! Friday I went to see Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, which was great. I'm not a Jim Carey fan at all, and wasn't sure I'd be able to handle him in this, but he was so good. Kate Winslet was excellent as usual, and amazingly, managed to be convincing as a woman who thought of herself as ugly. Not a straight-forward story, so I was glad younger daughter, who'd seen it before, had filled me in a bit. Kate Winslet's changing hair colour helps place the scenes in their correct sequence too!

On the books front, a very interesting discussion on Fire and Hemlock kept me thinking, and I finished Time to Depart. Not necessarily my favourite Falco novel, it was still exactly the right book for the mood, and I enjoyed it greatly. Haven't kept my Bookcrossing shelf up-to-date, which is yet another thing I need to do.

Meanwhile, a book sent me by [livejournal.com profile] generalblossom arrived, which is exciting! Need to get more educated about comic books/graphic novels, and this one looks good for a start (or almost start).

Yesterday we caught most of a Channel 4 programme called Body Talk - last week we missed, but my mother saw it and said it was wonderful. There's an amazing picture of Bush and Blair on the website, which is just hilarious. You can click on the photo to see it larger - Tony looks as if he's doing a little dance for the big bully-boy!

I'm sure there are other things I've been meaning to add, but they escape me at the moment. Very jealous of the book mood icons I saw on [livejournal.com profile] jadelennox's site - all from kid's books and really cool (paid accounts only, sad to say).
