My (new) favourite excuse ever

I SNEEZED MY BRAIN OUT

Isn't that great? I spotted it on the cover of one of those magazines I only see in the Dun Laoghaire Tesco by the check-outs, of the women's/girls' 'true stories' variety. This headline was accompanied by a picture of a woman smiling cheerfully, if with an extraordinarily horse-like smile. I especially liked the fact that it was my 'brain', rather than 'brains' - maybe it was supposed to sound more scientific that way or something.

Anyway, I offer it for everyone's use and enjoyment. It's not actually one I can use atm with any validity, as I'm not sneezing more than normal and haven't been for a while. But have been out-of-action nonetheless, overwhelmed by a lot of stuff, since coming back from a wonderful, if far too brief, visit with [livejournal.com profile] steepholm.

I'll catch up with reading all the LJs and blogs I'm got behind on soon, and then make a proper post. And there might be a bit of book-crantankerousness of the usual sort, but there'll be some more raves too!

Currently enjoying City of Bones quite a bit, so won't be cranky about that one!

I loved City of Bones and ran right to the store recently to get City of Ashes, which I also liked.

That's good to hear. I hadn't heard any good things until [livejournal.com profile] sartorias posted about it (them, actually, as I'm pretty sure she liked City of Ashes as much, if not more), and there are definitely a lot of negative reviews out there.
