See - despite your regular repetition of the 'fact' that I read more than you we have the same number of these read. Or at least I think we do - having a meltdown moment and wouldn't guarantee ability to count. Meltdown day rather!
I'd forgotten you'd read Les Miserables too - wasn't it for a student who then changed his/her mind about using it as a text? I was given it by J., who'd read an abridged version but hadn't realised, so gave me the unabridged as a Must-Read.
I'd probably hate Portrait too if I could remember more about it than the last line or two. (Which I do hate!)
