Mini-update
Apr. 2nd, 2007 12:00 amWelcome back to
dorianegray and
taliesinn! Hope you had a wonderful time (as Charlie put it) 'in Malta, melting in the sun and each other's arms'.
(If this is premature, I'll just repost whenever!)
I've done a bit of blog-rummaging and found there has been some buzz about Flora Segunda, including a great review by Leila at Bookshelves of Doom. In passing (still haven't had time to catch up with the backlog from the break), I saw a downright doomish number of books that I'd not heard of before but have to have now, or books I'd forgotten were due out or books that have had another enthusiastic review added to the already tempting pile. I am SO going to see a review of the Flora sequel there some day soon - ages before it's published, and despite being a Patient Woman...
Speaking of my patience - with my head emerging from the quagmire, I remembered hearing about Conor Kostick's next book, what feels like a long time ago now, and being veryimpatient eager to read it- and couldn't find a THING about it anywhere on the web. Now, my logic and reasoning may be very faulty, but somehow it seems all wrong that being lucky enough to hear from the author himself about the next book should mean many months added to the impatient waiting period before getting to read the thing. Given Conor's concern for social justice and all, maybe a message ... ? No. Of course not. Patient Woman.
