(no subject)

Okay, so, I've not been posting, commenting or even reading much lately, and possibly it'll be a while yet before I get to it. Some really not good things have been happening, about which I'll say more in a friends-locked post. (Apologies to non-LJ friends, but of course one can always open an account with the Other Side, for the sake of commenting and all! As I did in the opposite direction.) This is just an apology for apparent ignoring of all kinds of wonderful things that I'm sure are going on on everyone else's blogs.

There has been reading, if at much less than the normal rate - and a somewhat mind-warping mixture of Robinson Crusoe for course-work and Flora Segunda for fun, with the odd thing or two on the side. Now, that would make an interesting essay: how much adventurous stories for children have changed in 250-odd years...
