Catch-up #99
Jun. 6th, 2006 10:33 pmFairly good reason for the need to catch up at least, as it's been a busy couple of days! (Using 'couple' in the Irish sense again.) ( The busies )

shark_hat has already written it up, briefly but wittily here, and I'm not sure what else to say! Stress levels were such that I was less enthusiastic about it setting out than I had been for a while - mostly because of shyness, though I knew three people well, had met another in RL before, if briefly, had written off-list to another three, had one LJ friend, and was very keen to meet Ven's Matt, along with all the list people. It turned out to be great, though I wish there'd been a lot more time and that I could have talked more to people at different parts of the table. And Meredith travelled the table, polling on people's favourite DWJs - finding Deep Secret to be the winner - which was a bit of a surprise, though a pleasant one.
Still must try to find the energy to write about some more of my recent reads - which include Siberia, by Ann Halam, recommended bysartorias.
Oh, and the new LJ 'portal' has informed me (among other things) thatkattahj's birthday is one day before mine, taliesinn's is three days after mine, jadelennox shares one with my ex-father-in-law, and shark_hat with my mother. All except taliesinn being DWJ list members, and taliesinn belonging through dorianegray.
Portal indeed. 'I'm told there is no such thing as coincidence.' (All right, that's a quote from Deep Secret, rather than my saying this actually means anything.)
