This and that
Aug. 27th, 2004 07:57 pmFinished The Glass Tower, which was ok - great in some ways, far less than impressive in others. Sending it off to Steepholm (BC) as we've read and discussed a few Catherine Fishers - it's certainly not the book of hers I'd recommend to anyone who wasn't already a fan. Lots of fun elements though - atmosphere, and even a (sometimes) dog named Tam Lin!
This was almost enough to cheer me up - though not quite. Political humour, which I found hilarious. If anyone goes to check it out - there's an ad for some film or other first, then it takes a while to load and then the clip finally starts. I was glad I'd waited.
Something Rotten is great! Really fun.
The essay, on the other hand, is not a barrel of laughs.
